I'm gonna ask himStevem wrote: ↑Thu Aug 23, 2018 11:36 am Your plate voltages on atleast two of your preamp tubes are way too high, but with that being said no one here on this board can help you any further without a schematic of the amp from the tech that built it , or some really really good internal pictures of the amp broken down into atleast 4 sections!
GZ34 ModePrevious posts from you note that your amp has a rectifier switch, giving solid state or GZ34 HT mode options; which mode was your amp in when the above measurements were made?
sorry, i don't know how to do that. I'm gonna try to find that infoAlso, as per my repeated queries on your various TGP threads regarding this amp, what is the intended and actual, measured mains Vac, and the actual, measured heater voltage (eg 6.3Vac), from your power transformer?
Last pic i uploaded. Is it enough with that ?And which HT wires are used from..
Re: All ok ? Trannies specs,Bias, Power tubes specs
6L6GC don't fix anything. But i can tame the issue by rolling treble knob down

1 Are the wires from the PT going to the GZ34 terminals 3 and 5 actually red/orange (rather than plain red)?
2 The Vac from the PT to the heater circuit might be measured at the green wires connected to the front panel pilot lamp terminals.
3 Is there a note on the back of the amp advising what the mains wall outlet voltage supply it should be connected to, eg 220Vac, 230Vac etc?
Or a supply rating plate, eg 230Vac 2 Amps 460 watts or VA? All mains powered equipment should have that info permanently affixed, along with the intended mains fuse rating, eg T1A.

How far are you rolling the treble knob down?
The Fender type passive tone controls command a big signal loss when there turned down as much as it seems you have to do so there's somthing going on in the preamp section also!

Those are unusual settings. I suspect something is not wired correctly or wrong value pots. Do you use these settings for both Normal and Vibrato channels?Bass 2 Mid 8 Treble 0
Re: All ok ? Trannies specs,Bias, Power tubes specs
I've never played in my life with treble at zero. This is the first time. It's the only way to avoid that ugly crunch when i use pedals. I don't play through the Normal Channel but i checked it out when i first noticed the issue , but it was the same with pedals . Do you want me to try and playing at the Normal Channel with treble pot at 0 ?
Re: All ok ? Trannies specs,Bias, Power tubes specs
No. Nothing at all. I even looked at the transformers and power cord. It suposed to be at 230v. Do you want me to measure that in any way ?pdf64 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 24, 2018 9:17 am 3 Is there a note on the back of the amp advising what the mains wall outlet voltage supply it should be connected to, eg 220Vac, 230Vac etc?

No. I want you to carefully compare your actual tone pots wiring to the schematic and layout. Correct and report any errors you may find. Some hi rez pics that show the pots and tone stack components on the board and the wiring in between the pots and board could be very helpful.
Do you actually like the controls set for Bass 2 Mid 8 Treble 0?
Re: All ok ? Trannies specs,Bias, Power tubes specs
That seems a bit low. Try sharpening your meter lead's probe tips, eg with a fine file, and measure from across the terminals that the green wires connect to. Expecting about 6.3Vac.
Are you sure that the red wire to terminal 3 isn't actually red/orange?
It's just that you've already got 2 red wires from your PT going to the rectifier switch.
