Re: d'lite transformer options
So if I understand correctly I need to use a vibrolux PT with either a 18watt OT with 6v6's or a BF bassman OT with the 6l6's ? I think I will try the 6v6 tubes first.

dragonbat13,
Someone can chime in if I am wrong, but you could use a Bassman OT - it would just yield a scaled impedance scheme. 8 ohm tap would be used like 16, 4 as 8, etc. Bigger OT may be nicer.... I hesitate to give advice as I am such a novice. You could change tubes and rebias for 6L6 using the Vibrolux PT and have much to play with and experiment.

What about the PT. Vibrolux with either tube correct? also some people are saying a vibrolux OT with the 6v6 and some say a heyboer 18watt with the 6v6.

Use the same PT for both. 18 watt and Vibrolux OT will both work fine with 6V6. If you plan on using 6L6 go with the Bassman OT.

I used a Weber W022723 ("Power Transformer for Tremolux, Vibrolux, Vibrolux Reverb") ($50) and a Heyboer HY404248 ("Multitap output transformer for general purpose use. 4K Primary, 2-4-8 secondary") ($48), both ordered from Weber. Both fit the Brownnote chassis perfectly.

I'm currently building a D'Lite 44 and it came with an VIBRO HTS-8816EX OT that has 4.4K and an 8K secondaries.
I believe they are wound by Heyboer.
So I can run 6V6's or 6L6's plus EL34's if I want.
I installed a DPDT switch that will allow me to switch between those two secondaries with a simple re-bias.
Don't know if Moss sells the OT separately but the PT and OT cost $200.
