Some of the college kids at msu in Springfield protested s gun shop that had a digital sign with pictures of assault rifles . filed a law suit and everything. Guess cause the pictures of rifles scared them.Firestorm wrote:You're not allowed to have an AR15 in Connecticut. Because some mentally deficient individual did a horrible thing with one. If someone with character had one, too, in time, whole different story.
Blame the gun. NSSF is headquartered here. People still gather to protest their existence, because they, gasp, support gun safety.
Somebody shoot me now.
All the gun shops in town pithched in and about 10 times more pro gun demonstrators showed up. With guns

That would be fun too see. Not here. No open carry. Only concealed and for that you need a favorably disposed Chief of Police to vouch for you.cbass wrote:Some of the college kids at msu in Springfield protested s gun shop that had a digital sign with pictures of assault rifles . filed a law suit and everything. I used to get into arguments with Boy Scout moms who were horrified that we let them shoot .22s and shotguns. Someone has to train youth in firearms. Would you rather NRA certified instructors with strict range saftey rules, or someone named Buzzy or Julio down in the schoolyard.
A Scout who mistakenly refers to his gun as a weapon gets kicked off the range. They spend twice as much time on safety as they do actully firing. Cub Scouts can only shoot BB guns, but are required to have not only eye protection, but hearing protection, too. Unnecessary. But it gets them in the habit.
Unpopular opinion, but I truly believe we'd all be safer if there were more guns in the hands of upstanding people with training.
