CBass, check your front sight to see if it's marked with an "F", the F means it's compatible with a flat top receiver. If it isn't,then hopefully you can raise the A2 front sight post enough to get it to zero at 100 yards when using that BUIS.

Yup its fmarked . I had heard that before and wondered what it meant.
Tbe trigger seems to have worked its self out after some cleaning and lube and dry firing its very crisp a little heavy there is no slop or grit. From what I've read better than most ar triggers. I'll have to check out that jp spring. I can definitely get used to it.
Overall I'm impressed with the quality of this gun . I was kinda worried after I read all the PSA bashing on the net. The receivers fit together very nicely with almost no play between them.best ican tell all the parts are of good quality.I can already tell its more accurate than I am and I feel really cool when I tell my buddies its double chromed line CHf machine gun steel barrell. Overall I feel like I have a lot better gun for the money than if I had just bought an AR off the rack
There was more recoil than I was expecting but I didn't know what to expect. I ordered an H2 buffer hopefully it's not way overgassed . I didn't looke at the casings or lay attention to where they were ejecting. Il take note next time I fire it.

Don't over think this; if it runs fine with what I assume is an H buffer while flinging cases fully then you should be ok. If it hits the deflector on exit fine, if not that's fine too. I only worry about where cases fall when I need to police my brass or I'm planning to reload them. If the gas system is really overgassed the best remedy is an adjustable gas block, but that's another topic in itself.
cbass wrote:Tone icant thank you enough for skoolin me bout these guns. If I could bug you again ? Could I get your thoughts about something like this ?
Not a problem:
Effective range: shorter barrels are really meant for close quarters, 100 yards
Recoil: lighter weight thus more free recoil, especially in a pistol config which you cannot shoulder it.
Muzzle: the shorter barrels emit more unburnt powder so they a tendency to have greater muzzle flash. Not too much of an issue unless you are shooting at night
For max value I would choose the kit as it includes, the BCG, charging handle
and lower parts kit for only $60 additional. I don't see the safety selector in the lower parts, but I assume it was just accidentally omitted.
I shy away from kits because there's always items that I don't like or wish to upgrade to me that defeats the purpose of a kit.
Just remember that an AR pistol is a niche item in itself. Also, I'm sure that you know you cannot take that 10.5 upper and mount it on your carbine lower, unless the lower is registered as an short barrel rifle(SBR).
The other lower I have was bought stripped I was under the impression that I can build it into whatever I want.
Also at what point does it become a sbr or a pistol. I'd really rather have a 12.5 barrel . it's insane to me to call a gun that's 2 feet long a pistol but whatever. I know the feds can do whatever they want but I seriously doubt the sheriff here would enforce the asinine gun laws . I've never heard of anyone getting any kind of firearms charges other than felons and dipshits that brag to evryone about there full autos
Edit: so its the stock? You can't have a stock on a short barrell . man there sure are a lot of stupid bullshit laws

Draconian consequences - "so they say." And that's what may be printed in the law book. Lately there's been a lot of sheriffs and chiefs-of-police in NY who say they won't enforce the 7-round law. Plus some county sheriffs right around here who have gone on record, press conference & all, encouraging those with pistol carry permits to carry their pistols. (Ulster, Orange & Dutchess counties, maybe others by now.)
Does anyone have an account of any NY cases where someone has been fined or imprisoned for having more than 7 rounds in their magazine? I sure haven't heard of any. It was just knee-jerk, feel-good legislation for Andy Cuomo and his pals to get attention right after the Newtown schoolchild massacre. Just like many laws, it may be used as a further kick in the pants for authentic bad guys & gals who get caught committing real crimes with their guns. eg, Johnny Toobad gets caught robbing the 7-11, 5 years in Greybar Hotel. Oh, Johnny had 8 rounds in his popgun, extra 6 months.
Reminds me of Cuomo's "no driving while blabbing on your cell phone" law. Anyone in NY who can open their eyes and focus can see there's someone doing exactly that in about one out of three cars, trucks & other vehicles including school bus drivers. Unless they're police cars. Then it's two out of three. Nothing like setting a good example!
A gentleman in Buffalo was riding as passenger when his wife was pulled over for a traffic check. Out of courtesy he told the officer he had a pistol permit and the pistol was in the glove box. Officer asked to see the gun, removed the clip and counted there were more than seven rounds. The gentleman was arrested and taken to jail. Learning of the incident, a local judge ordered the state police to go to the mans home, providing them with a warrant to remove ALL firearms.
The "crime" of having more than seven rounds in the clip is a felony. As a felon, the gentleman would be prevented from ever owning a firearm again (of any type).
This incident went through appeals process and eventually the gentleman was vindicated, and the felony conviction reversed. In any case he was traumatized and victimized by run-away-DRACONIAN enforcement of unconstitutional laws.

Magazine, not clip.....sorry it's my firearms pet peeve OCD
Someone was telling me I coulnt deer hunt with an AR so I looked it up. In Mo its perfectly legal as long as cyou have a 10rnd or less capacity magazine.. You are allowed to block higher capacity mags .
I guess I could hunt with a pistol build as long as I don't shoulder it lmao
I had to go to the city to get so e marble for a job . on the way back I was listening to NPR . God what a bunch of whiney dopes. Some gal was going on and on about how she doesn't let her kids play with kids who's parents had guns and that's the first thing she asks parents is if they had guns. Started going on a bout a friend confided to her that her 2 and half year old found her husband's gun so he put it in a box way up on a closet shelf. And 6 months later the 3 year old kid found it again. So she told her their kids couldn't be friends anymore.
I got an idea how about you put down the bong and watch your freaking kids you dirty hippy.
