Nice!

Sadly, Czar Cuomo has outlawed them in New York State. I hope someday New York will rejoin the United States and readopt the U.S. Constitution.

You can't get an AR in NY? I thought you could but you were limited to a 7 or 8 round mag?

In 2013 New York State banned the sale and possession of "assault rifles".

Czar Cuomo also banned clips from holding more than seven rounds. The law is being enforced with Draconian consequences.

Thank god a nice wooden stock M1A in 7.62 is not a scary black assault rifle, and is fine to own with just 7 round mags.

I guess an M1a is fine in NY as long as it is not threatening looking and black.Nevermind that even with a change of clothes it still functions the same.

I don't think there's any restrictions here as far as magazines or barrel length or any of that nonsense . if you ask me making fully auto weapons available only to the rich is enough reason to revolt right there

The cost of the $200 tax stamp has been the same since 1934, so blame that on the May 1986 ATF ruling and simple supply and demand. Now 20 years ago transferable MG's were still affortable enough for the average person to obtain. Once the word was out that they were quietly appreciating at around 15-20% a year they became commodities and up went the prices.

Nevertheless; once you get over the initial cool factor they are really overrated, as unlike depicted on TV and the movies they don't shoot from a magazine forever and ammo isn't cheap.

Draconian consequences - "so they say." And that's what may be printed in the law book. Lately there's been a lot of sheriffs and chiefs-of-police in NY who say they won't enforce the 7-round law. Plus some county sheriffs right around here who have gone on record, press conference & all, encouraging those with pistol carry permits to carry their pistols. (Ulster, Orange & Dutchess counties, maybe others by now.)

Does anyone have an account of any NY cases where someone has been fined or imprisoned for having more than 7 rounds in their magazine? I sure haven't heard of any. It was just knee-jerk, feel-good legislation for Andy Cuomo and his pals to get attention right after the Newtown schoolchild massacre. Just like many laws, it may be used as a further kick in the pants for authentic bad guys & gals who get caught committing real crimes with their guns. eg, Johnny Toobad gets caught robbing the 7-11, 5 years in Greybar Hotel. Oh, Johnny had 8 rounds in his popgun, extra 6 months.

Reminds me of Cuomo's "no driving while blabbing on your cell phone" law. Anyone in NY who can open their eyes and focus can see there's someone doing exactly that in about one out of three cars, trucks & other vehicles including school bus drivers. Unless they're police cars. Then it's two out of three. Nothing like setting a good example!

It's an AICS like stock for the M14/M1A platform made by JAE, works great for shooting from the prone off a bipod or bag. No I skimmed those M1A images from the net for the sake of the NY discussion. Although, I do have a National Match M1A like the walnut one shown that I used shoot highpower with and a SAGE SOPMOD variant, there's nothing much to drool over except maybe the SCAR 17S. Actually, I want go 100 years in the past and aquire a 1903 Springfield and even further an 1800's Kentucky rifle.

I don't understand how cities and state can pass laws that violate the 2nd amendment. Of course there's a lot of things I don't understand and a whole lot of things I wish I didn't understand
