You contributed a lot to this forum and elsewhere.

I'm sure they have tubes in heaven.

Oh no, we were just messaging last week . He helped me immensely last year on a project and was just kinda checking in on me, and told me about his health troubles. What a great guy.

Wow , I just sold Dave 4 tubes just last month on the 25th. Another sad affair.

Yeah, I was kidding him that he got those to send me for Christmas.
We talked about snow on Mt. Washington already...he missed fall back here in N.H.

He had a great sense of humor, I made fun of a Marshall he was building saying it had 20 knobs! He came back with..." Joe it only has 9 knobs, 3 switches and 2 dials!" We had a good laugh over that.
In theory, theory is the same as practice. In practice it's different.
