Re: Craig's List
He's lucky not to have done that to me. I would still be shooting him in what used to be his face.

Re: Craig's List
That's nothing really. Cars are being stolen and people are being murdered through CL.

I just last week sold a double wall oven on CL. All went well but I took my 9mm out of its case and stored it within easy reach while the guy was at my house. He showed up with his wife and children so I wasn't concerned at that point but until I saw the kids I was wary about the CL thing.

Re: Craig's List
I've been selling a lot on CL lately. I always wear a piece open carry style. I'm surprised I haven't ended up in a mexican standoff...yup that term is not politically correct, but I don't have a substitute.HeeBGB wrote:I just last week sold a double wall oven on CL. How do the prospective customers react to the open carry?
Open carry is legal here too but I think I would rather have it concealed.

I can imagine lot's of arguments for both open carry and concealed. Pick your poison I suppose.Structo wrote:How do the prospective customers react to the open carry?

Not sure I consider them customers, but that's splitting hairs I guess. Not one person has ever made a comment about it. Surprising, but true.

I don't know, but it seems like going unarmed might be playing Russian Roulette.

Re: Craig's List
I would rather starve and sit on pieces than list them for sale on an open trading list.
And I do.

Re: Craig's List
Craigslist is for the birds...unavoidable for big stuff though. I sold a Saab last summer to some guy. He brought over $6000 in all $20 bills. It was real weird. All good though!!

I have done at least 20 transactions of guitar gear here in GA, probably way more and I never had any problem. I think I'm too naive or lucky

Re: Craig's List
I just sold my house...it was horrible having showings...just pure strangers coming over, I hid my guitars but it's tough to hide a guitar amp collection and a huge workshop.
