Pedal Suggestion Needed

I don't use effects all that much. One song here, one song there, and thats about it. So I really don't want to have a huge pedal board, and I don't want to pay $400+ per effect. With that in mind, 2 years ago I bought a Hardwire TR7. It offers a wide variety of modulation effects including the ones I cared about, in a single pedal.

Frankly, I hate it. Its hard to use, and the effects have too many unpleasant artifacts. So, I am looking again.

The effects that would matter to me are Chorus, Rotary, UniVibe and Tremolo. Don't need Flange, don't need any of the unique weird effects, etc. If I can't have all of the ones above, I might settle for most of them.

So, are there any pedalboard friendly units (ie - not huge) that you've had good experiences with to fill this need?

It's not so cheap, but it is intense and inclusive of all the best of all modulation effects.

I can recommend one I currently own and one I would love to have:

The one I own: TC Electronic G-System
Pros:
It's got everything you're looking for and more (a lot more).
The sound is awesome
Cons:
At about a grand on the used market, it's spendy.
While I wouldn't call t big for what it does, it's HEAVY.

The one I want: Strymon Mobius
Pros:
It has the effects you're looking for (with 200 user definable presets).
It only does modulation effects.
It's small.
According to the demo videos I've watched on their web site, the sound is amazing. www.strymon.net

Cons:
At $450, it's spendy.

I use the Voodoo Labs tremolo and love it.

For many years I thought I didn't need tremolo, but now I can't live without it.

This unit is perfect for dialing in that classic tremolo sound.

I would look over Eventide ModFactor. I have the TimeFactor from once it got released some years ago, and its great unit, not plagued by usual digital delay artifacts and abusive tone change. Its pricey though.

OK, so you've ruled out all the suggestions based on what? With the loose qualifier of not too expensive and not too large, it seems it's a fools errand.

Unnecessarily harsh, but if you must know:

Warped Vinyl - a little weird for me, and probably a little too complicated to tune in

Voodoo Vibe - not really a multi mode modulation pedal as far as I can tell

G System - much dinero

Stryman Möbius - close but no cigar - pricey

Voodoo Labs Tremolo - not a multi mode modulation pedal, and I already own (built a term if I wanted to go discrete)

Eventide Mod Factory - too large, too expensive, to complex, although it sounds killer

I was trying to be polite about rejecting the suggestions. But frankly none of them will work for me. I still do appreciate everyone who offered them.

In the meantime I have ordered a cheap pedal ($40-ish) that will easily fit on my board, and does most of what I am looking for. At that price, I had to give it a try - very little to loose. I'll name it after I try it. If it sucks, I'll say so. And if it works out well, I'll say that too.

The Voodoo Vibe does chorus, vibrato, tremolo, and pitch modulation. I don't know what your definition of multi mode is.

Not much around for $40 that ain't a Dano.

I missed the fact that the Voodoo Vibe can do all of those (except for Rotary). But it is also a very large pedal, so unfortunately it won't work for me from a size point of view.

The pedal I've ordered is not a Dano, but it is most likely some form of imported crap (given the price). Although it sounded pretty good in the demo vids. We'll see.
