Thought I'd bring this to people's attention. Made in USA, honest price, very highly regarded on the hifi forums. Dig the claimed bandwidth of some of these. I'm the last to espouse foofy hifi parts in Mi amps but maybe someone will sally forth and report back a wonderful experience. They sell direct on eBay, I always thought they were Asian, and never knew they had a site and made anything other than SE trannies.

Very interesting. The claimed primary inductance is definitely in hifi territory, even if it's at 60Hz. Edcor iron is in a similar range in my experience.
As to the bandwidth, that isn't too meaningful without a +/- dB range also specd. If it's +/- 1dB, that's most impressve, (and unlikely at that price), +/- 6dB, not so much.
Good to see another small US maker offering what looks like decent quality well priced iron.

Kinda odd presentation, IMO. No info about the company on the home page, no EIA code or labeling on the trannies. Is it possible they are having these made by another company, say, MCI?
Most people stall out when fixing a mistake that they've made. Why?

That's too bad.
Re: Another A470 Alternative plus OTs
That was interesting, from 2009. Good to hear they wound/wind their own in the USA. They still have a presence on ebay, not a lot sold from 2006. They have the PP trannies so they don't seem to have scaled back to just the SE market. Beats me, maybe they used to be in-house then someone restructured and now they farm it out? Their price are pretty reasonable, makes me think they wind them, if they were retailing then they'd have to move a lot at those prices. Their 30W iron would be interesting in a JTM45 or LP or EXP.
If I won the lottery I would waste a lot of it on transformers.
