That may be true for modern E glass windows but we had just single pane windows (old junky 70's aluminum windows).
We have a solid cherry wood frame futon in front of large windows.
Over the years it has darkened very nicely.
Which is the opposite effect of what sunlight does to guitar finishes.
All I am suggesting is that you shouldn't put a fresh nitro finished guitar in direct sunlight on a hot day.
Nothing worse than having a new guitar start blistering because it got too hot.
But yeah, the UV rays are what affects the finish and fades certain colors.
The red or cherry dye used back in the day would easily fade to a more subtle burst over time.

Beautiful guitar, I did something not nearly as nice last year, a fake '59 but on a super poor mans budget. I would tell people how I did it, but I'm pretty sure I got lucky every step along the way so I can't really recommend it.
I ran the same value caps as you but eventually went to .022 on both pickups and like that better personally, didn't get what I wanted with the .015, the guitar is plenty bright and didn't need any darkness taming or mud removal with a light body, 540k pots, and low to mid 8k pickups. Love the 50's wiring. I also went uncovered but may switch back though I'd probably have to put a little bees wax in there because they do squeal sometimes at high volume.
I did some work on my chiropractors gibson amp and removed the .022 sprague BB death cap, I always give a baggie of parts when I change or remove anything on an amp and he said keep 'em so it went into my guitar.
After being a strat guy for 30+ years I decided for my new band a les paul was the way to go, and I wanted an instrument that I wouldn't be heartbroken if someone walked away with it during a gig. My other guitars I inherited from my grandfather, and I don't like taking them out for gigs anymore. As it is, it's now pretty much my favorite guitar. I'd be O.K. financially if I had to replace it, but I would be pretty bummed out, and don't know if I'd be as lucky the second time around with the whole process.

Re: 59 Burst replica nearing the finish line...
I've been fine tuning the burst, and found that the A and low E were flat on the intonation. Not sure why old Peterson strobe tuners do this, but the one used on this sure did.
Now that I've got that dialed in, the guitar plays in tune up the neck for barre chords, etc. A bonus is being able to dial in the string height & action properly now due to that.
While my fingers are still getting used to playing again (5 month layoff due to health reasons), it's easier now.
The pots are really stiff, though. I will need to put some broken in pots in the guitar if it's to be usable on stage.
Past that, though, it's sounding pretty f'n RNR, reeltarded. I'm not going to post any clips of my playing, but when someone who can do this guitar justice shows up, I'll have them send me some to post. That'll be awhile. I'm swamped with work, and more doctor visits...9:30 am is my next one.

I hope the health thing is simply annoying and not more serious. :\
Free iApp called PanoTuner is amazing and so much finer than anything else I have ever used. Give that a try and listen to how much better the scale could be! lol Perfection.

The health thing...don't get me started. I've had more mis-diagnosises than I care to think about.
I got one of the Peterson Digital Strobe tuners after my Korg DT-3 disappeared at the LA Amp Show. Haven't fired it up yet, but I've got pretty good ears and pitch, so figuring out the two strings being off was easy.
And now, wahoo, another blood test results of 8 tests and five vials drawn three weeks ago in 45 minutes at the doctor.
I guess they'll tell me my ulcers, polyps, etc are terminal now after finding them last October. That'd just be my luck.
I better play the new burst one more time to ward off evil spirits.

All good vibes from me here. You really should crank out some soul shakers to get the immune system engaged. It always helps my mood if not my body.

Be well.
Remember the old pharma animations of the guy taking pills and they go down a pink tube to a pink ball? I think that is the level of most doctors understanding about gut health.
