Yes, they make those too, maybe neutrik just copies stuff, I gave them more credit but it's all made in China anyway.

I have a vague recollection of neutrik owning re'an in which case cliff is copying them - whatever, it's all good.

Witchcraft, so where do you think the clever guys who started the company got the name? I'll bet there's some religio-political types who wouldn't want something like that in their gear.

Sing along with Frank Sinatra "It's Switchcraft . . . " makes me smile every time I hear it.

I know this is an old thread but today I checked continuity on 15 Switchcraft jacks, all with shunt tip and all stamped Switchcraft. These were both short and long shaft shunt tip jacks, not that that should make any difference.

Exactly two measured full continuity, (0.16 ohm on my meter). The others were all intermittent and variable between low teens ohms and megohms.

These are all I believe post ROHS production. I took a folded over piece of 220 grit paper thru the contact point between the +ve and shunt tips, made no difference.

I have to think Milkman is right--ROHS has to be a suspect in this, somehow screwing up the contact.

It's too bad Switchcraft doesn't make an L12AX Milspec jack. I'm building an Express which has a nice cherry faceplate which is 1/8" thick, so I can't use a C12AX on the input jack unfortunately.
