looking for a supplier in Denver

Post by jimipage »

no, no, not like that...

I'm out here in the Denver area doing some remodel work on my parents' house. As some of you know, I live way out in the boonies and have to get every one of my components and such shipped to me. I figured since I was here in a big city I could do some shopping in person (what a concept!)
Is there anyone here on the forum living in the greater Denver area and know of a good electronics supply store I could check out?
thanks, fellas

thanks, fellas. I posted the same question over at AX84. Seems that not only did I not remember Bruce Collins being out here, but I was also reminded that Lord Valve is out here, too. I'll have to take a day off and pay those gentlemen a visit.
Again, thanks for the replies :D

try Fistells electronics at 10th and bannock, and JB saunders up in boulder, both have old stock and surplus. Fat Willie(Lord Valve) is also a great place to get tubes, but he doesn't stock any oddball stuff, mainly common repair values and such.

Bruce is really hard to get ahold of, and in my experience does not return phone calls.

I also keep a fair amount of stuff around, and will help you if I can.

Fistells is a classic. Fairly near LV's shop, probably within 10 minutes drive time. It doesn't cater specifically to tube amps, but worth seeing if only for all the crap they have laying around :D

Willie's is definitely a place to go for typical amp components. He's been a lifesaver more than once.

Let's not forget OEM in CO Springs Bit of a drive but tends to be worth it. Last time I bought tubes from them they pulled out a price list as old as the tubes! Mind you that was a good few years ago before they moved.
