NGD!

Post by HeeBGB »

Well not yet anyway but I got some progress photo's from Matt at MJT of my current project. I will be finishing it with the parts from my black Tele and then selling the black tele body with the guard and probably the control plate too if anyone is interested.

Yes Metallic Ice Blue! I have a buddy that has a Custom Shop NoCaster in this color and our own forum brother Sliberty has an MJT Cabronita in this color. I started jonesing for this the first time I saw that NoCaster

Also a few years back I played a Custom Shop Thinline NoCaster at the GC in East Brunswick, NJ and knew I had to have one. It was over $3k though. This will be on par quality wise and much less expensive albeit without the "F" logo on the headstock.

Neck is a Warmoth total vintage construction VERY pronounced "V" profile with lots of birdseye.

Looks really great Greg. Can't wait to see it with a guard and hardware.
Since you mentioned my Cabronita, here is a photo.

Yay! It's one of the best colors.

I'll bet that's light as a feather (chambered throughout)? Can we say "resonate"? I'll bet the midrange snarl will be remarkable. Interesting control cutout - custom plate?

Yeah, now that Leo mentions it, I had a 62 Impala in that color. Can't wait to see the finished product. Yer not gonna put one of them wretched maple necks on there now are ya?

Well aside from the color the weight is why I am doing this guitar. The control cavity is a standard 69 Thinline Tele item.

I am using a maple neck. I happen to have one I really like. It is on this guitar along with a lot of other parts I will be using for this guitar then selling the black body. It a good sounding and playing guitar I just want something lighter and a better color.

Here is the black Tele Check the neck

Yeah, OK...with a neck made out of something that purdy, I can see it.

8)

I have one maple neck on a strat right now, and its got lotsa "mojo" (that means its beat to hell, cig burns and nicks, etc) but it sure plays nice and the headstock is so dark from bars it always gets comments. It plays really nice, but I'm sure its not as nice as that! That's one beautiful chunk o' wood.
