Neighbors favor 16 ohm load

Post by Reeltarded »

Swapped second pair of cabs down to 4ohms. If you go outside you can probably hear it. I have used some big power before but this is absolutely breath taking; physically impedes breathing.

Marshall thing into a Palmer PGA04 to MOTU interface and channelized in Steinberg Nuendo. I am using Waves Ren Comp, Native Instruments B4, PSP Lexicon 42, Altiverb for long plate, Peavey IPR 2000 for power, and into a pair of Marshall 800 series stacks with G-12/75s.

At around -20 your out of town relatives start calling to see if you heard the bomb go off. At -10 the Whitehouse issues a drone attack. At 0db a hole opens in the sky and Jesus gives you the scornful librarian face.

I need a simple midi controller that can address my program.. less than 10 features. Anyone have a suggestion? I have control surfaces but those are for hands and I am all out of hands.

I can't wait to add the Bandmaster channel! DR playing proxy tells me it's going to be fabulous.

Miles, that thing sounds like a blast. Wish I was there to here it for real.

Maybe out or your budget, but I have been using Voodoo Labs Ground Control Pro with great success for many years. I have used a Roland midi to usb adapter device to get it into my PC. You may need that.

How's your hearing? I assume it has the proper ring.

I can hear this just fine with gun mufflers on! My suitcases got themselves out and started packing like I was going somewhere!

Will have to look at that control rig. These are the hardest things to buy. If you make a mistake you live in a work-around hell. I need less control features than most things provide.

Hrmm.. I like the footprint. I wonder how Nuendo would like it as a generic controller? Nuendo will think it's installed in a mental hospital, probably.

With the switcher? Control my ABY. Channel or Bus mute in mix. Spin speed on B4 and defeat on delay line. Run a couple relays for things like the vib on the Bandmaster. I don't need any continuous controllers, all switching.

You've read The Hitchhiker's Guide the Galaxy, right? There's some great advice on playing from a bunker miles alway, or from an orbiting space ship. This is important when your rig rips the atmosphere off the planet.

Not quite the same, but I linked / daisy chained four 100w heads into 8 4x12 cabs a few years back and set the volume on 9.

I had visions during and afterward.

I think the biggest amp I used before was Crown 1200s @8R. This amp weighs about 10lbs and it's 2x the output. It's effin awesome. Inspiring. Finally.

You guys are sick... I love it!

Miles, turn it up just a bit... I thought I heard it when I just let the dogs out.

No, the whole shebang. What's the intended use for this rig? Or is this just some because . . . L O U D exercise?

Redshift sounds like chorus when the sound waves get back down... to the speed of.. sound. I saw it on a science show from Miss Daisy's old driver, that guy who worked for the electric company and now spends his time posing in front of a big sheet with lights on it waving his hands around pretending he discovered something I read on the internet 7 years ago that was already superceded by a team of independant Swiss astronomers over 2 years ago... but anyhow.

My intended use is to have rig and do travel somewhere.
