They're advertising that Allan Holdsworth is using their wares. He used to use a Pearce amp, which was also solid state. Interesting.

Here is a YouTube. To my ear, it's a decent sounding amp. Seems a lightweight and reliable grab-and-go amp for club-gigs.

That just means "we gave one to Alan Holdsworth." Whether he's thrown over his usual rig for it, remains to be seen.

I've encountered the Pearce amps @ 25 years ago, and they were very good.

Quilter's had these out for a while. One of my customers brought his over. Small and lightweight all right. Claimed 200 watts. For all that power - it never got loud. Color me unimpressed.* The customer's regular Vibrolux Reverb with JBL K110's stomped it to pieces. But weighed in a good 40 pounds more. FWIW I think QSC's PA-on-a-stick is a much more successful product.

* Also unimpressed:

That's an interesting observation Leo. I have long thought that air knows when it's being pushed by a vacuum (now tell me that statement isn't poetry in motion :wink: ), and digs it a LOT more than being pushed by sand. :idea:

@ Nick - that right there sums it up for me.
I usually compare it to fluorescent lights. I can't see it flash at 60Hz but my brain perceives it.
I don't have perfect pitch hearing but my brain perceives music played by someone who does.
