Re: Aldous Huxley
Aldous Huxley dropped acid on his deathbed to 'enhance the death experience.'

".. his fictional world was just around the corner . . "
He was right. And yes he was a serious badass.

Re: Aldous Huxley
Have you watched Orphan Black on BBC America? Creepy. It's about cloning humans.

Re: Aldous Huxley

Re: Aldous Huxley
Dr. Alpert . I think he later changed his name to Baba Dass Rom or something like that.
Re: Aldous Huxley
Baba Rom Das aka Dr. Richard Alpert. He wrote "Be Here Now" among others. Contemporary of Leary's and similar circles. Personally, I was more a follower of William Burroughs, Jack Kerouac, and that gang along with Alan Ginsberg, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, and their friends. They considered Leary a bit juvenile. However, I'd love to see/hear him speak.
Re: Aldous Huxley
quite an understatement - leary and thompson crawling around on the floor playing catch with a bottle of chivas regal - and of course in the audience making jokes and whatnot - and the 1/2 gall of vodka plus whatever elese they were enjoying that night. Hunter was so drunk he fell down like a 100 times. They considered Leary a bit juvenile
