Glen, I have a friend here in the NW who sells aluminum flat stock (and other metal stock). He is connected to every fabricator in a 300 mile radius of Portland. Can you post or send me a better pic of the corner joint? One close-up from the inside and also one from the outside? (BTW,looking at the BUD site, the corners they make today are pretty much like RJ's corners, here they lost the 45 degree cuts.) Thanks.

As to heavier stock - BOOM - I'm sure the price goes up based on material costs and manufacturing costs. After all, there's the limits of the aluminum, it's thickness/strength vs. how it will survive a 90 degree bend.

I've used Hammond 16x8x2 chassis (photo) and have a new Hammond 17x8x3 to compare cuts and folds in the corners to the Bud AC 425 chassis.
