It's great to have friends... I'll see if I can live up to your declarations. I'll go another step further and declare that if Winder wants to put together an Express, you are the guys that will help him (and myself as well), whether he uses any of my parts offerings or not.

Interesting thing about modern communications - sometimes they don't happen. I dunno if this is Winder or not, but this morning I received an email notice of something gone wrong with my attempt at sending out a quote.

(recipents email address was here)
SMTP error from remote mail server after initial connection:

If your name is Jeff and this looks like you, something went haywire and I'll send it out again. In the meantime you might want to post, email, or PM me again if you want to receive the info packet I sent out.

thanks,

rj

I have to whole-heartedly agree. With RJ's parts and help, combined with evryone on the forum( and a comment or 2 from Andy Fuchs) I ended up with my favorite amp in RJ's PCB based Lerpoole
15 watter. Makes me wanna build more....

I too, used to be impatient. I would almost get panicky when people wouldn't get back with me. I guess I outgrew it or something...I'm not sure, exactly. If I remember right, It was right around the time I built my first xpress. Anyway, nowadays I don't sweat it. I've found that some of the really great things in life just require more time, thought, and patience.

I've learned to have more than one amp underway at one time. And have multiple hobbies. Not to mention, lots of work. If I have enough projects, it's easy to keep busy! :D

You reinforce why I rarely frequent forums these days. Thanks a million. Really appreciate the quality inputs.
Winder this is why I can't stand people like you on forums, total jerk.
Mark, it's the instant access generation. Hand it to me right now, cheap and in a hurry.

Well, it turns out you're both incorrect.

MFowler, how you can make that assessment with so little information is beyond me, yet not unexpected from the "Internet empowered". If you think you're setting some sort of good or positive example by jumping to conclusions (such as with your first knee-jerk post), and mouthing off, you really aren't. Very small minded indeed, revealing much more relative to your own inadequacies than mine.

Also, I'm much older than a microwave generation kid. There was no issue; I asked a simple question. Ultimately, the concept is simple professionalism. Sadly, that is lost on your kind and I doubt you'll ever get it. Maybe when you do actually grow up.

From what I've seen and experienced so far, it appears RJ does operate professionally and I'd feel very comfortable working with him on this. At least that much has been revealed. A couple of other folks have been helpful as well. Much appreciated.

If I decide to move forward, I had hoped that this would be a place to discuss, learn, and get assistance where needed. If you two are representative of what can be expected here, then probably not.

I'll leave the rest of this thread to both of you heroes. Nothing to be gained in being judged by immature strangers. Good job.

Dood, what are you thinking? Have you bothered to read anything on this forum before mouthing off with a bunch of nonsense? Have some humility and spend some time educating yourself about this forum. You could have avoided getting off on the wrong foot with some of the members here that could probably help you the most.

You're right about one thing. RJ is a stand up guy and I would guess that he will continue to help you in spite of your nonsense. Some of us aren't that tolerant. I know I ain't.
