TW Kits

Post by Winder »

I'd like to try my hand at an Express clone. I stumbled across the Triode kit last weekend and then remembered this site. From here, I visited RJguitars and I especially like the chassis, transformers, and perf/turret board. I sent an e-mail on Sunday asking about kit contents and pricing, and haven't heard back - probably really busy.

Can anyone here tell me if he's still offering these for sale?
If not, or either way, are there any other recommendations for kits?

I appreciate any input. :D

RJ is a stand-up guy and his kits and chassis are some of the best available.

He travels a lot so sometimes it takes a week or so for him to respond, well worth the wait.

Try pm'ing him. Apparently, the info@rjguitars.net email is not checked often.

I'll try to see him today and, aside from sharing a great cup o' coffee, will bring his attention to this if he has not already responded.

And yes, he has been very busy.

Looking forward to hearing about your build.

P.S. and OBTW, be nice to the forum members. We've got some great people here - many of whom would go the extra mile to help you. If you really needed the kit sooner, you could have ordered it earlier. Anyhow, that's the perspective I take. I learned a long time ago that most time-related "emergencies" could have been avoided with a lil' planning on my part. I never rush anybody doing me a service.

Sorry to be slow man, Holiday, Family, weekend, and a decent backlog of folks with questions and requests. I think I saw your note and caught up on emails last night... If not, then send me an email. PM's are definitely the hardest for me to get back on. I don't have internet access for most of the day. I will give almost anybody my phone number if they want to work out a project quickly and then promise not to sell my number to the public...

That's a great point. Also important to remember that people here, myself included, that provide obscure parts to feel niche demand often do so at the expense of tying up significant capital for long periods of time with slow rates of return and little profit, and, assemble and ship product while juggling real" jobs and family obligations.

I spoke with RJ yesterday.
