Sourcing the parts...

Hi there.
After taking the plunge into a TW Express build earlier this year (which was quite succesful...) I am now considering a Dumble build. The good thing with the Trainwreck is that RJ stocks everything you need all at once. But what about the Dumble ODS? Is there an RJGuitars around here as well that does the same thing but for Dumbles? And if there's no one, where do you guys find the parts: chassis, faceplates, boards, transformers etc.? Can you make it look like the real deal or not?

OK. But besides them, do you source other parts elsewhere? Do you upgrade transformers (for which?), change caps, change a few resistor or caps values etc? What do you change? I suppose the Ceriatone kit is a good start but what is needed to take it to the next level? I suppose there's as much discrepancy between the Ceriatone TW and the TW you can build from RJ parts and the Dumbles...

As for transformers, I have looked into the MM line and the Classictone line and I can't find any Dumble references there... Do you actually need to buy Fender Blackface Bassman or Blackface Twin transformers? Or is there any recommendation?

Several excellent documented Dumble topology examples in the files section........ pick one, research it, then stare and compare!

For a 50w build I used a Ceriatone OTS chassis with Classictone JTM45 PT, OT and choke set. No drilling required.
