I use cage nuts (m6 rack nuts) mounted at the bottom of the chassis and 80mm countersunk Allen head bolts fitted with dress washers Looks good and very robust

Wow, That is excellent. Very nice. "Walnut - its not just for furniture you know."

On ReRanch one of the guys scratch built a walnut SG. Beautiful w/gold hardware.

One of the best acoustics I ever played was a flamed (black?) walnut D. I don't recall the maker, it was some 10 years ago in a shop out in Seattle, Ballard, maybe a Thompson. If I had the scratch I would have bought it on the spot, and I'm a bluegrass guy and not very adventurous or impulsive when it comes to acoustics. Looked silly beautiful too.

Very pretty BTW. I wish I had some way to work wood :(
