I'm looking for a traditional Head Cabinet. since Ampmike is out right now can anyone recommend a builder?

I have one of these in Cherry and it is a good cab comes with faceplate.

To me those are not "traditional". They look very nice and would work fine for most folks. The clean cut of the multiple boards slapped together mitre jointed of Ken's amps. It just has that trainwerck look you know?

I take it no one is making an accurate head shell? Even JM doesn't try for a period correct shell. Im going to give it a shoot. Shouldn't be too bad and fairly cheep it I screw it up.

Personally, I prefer the fingers or dovetails. They're a stronger joint.

I can build some I gave up on it after I couldnt' get $250 for this Guess It wasn't that nice

I use Drawer lock joints Plenty strong and looks way better Personally I think dovetails and box joints are ugly.

cbass - That's bloody Gorgeous! I'm sure those joints are plenty strong. Maybe I said that to mollify myself - I can't do miter joints. :lol:

Thanks Mark I can do more tradtional finishes too.Some of the originals look like poly but its hard to tell.
If i ever get the time Im gonna make 10 or so and pester the hell out of everyone till they're sold. :)
