reverb schematics

anyone have any leads on some good spring reverb circuit schematics? This would be my first attempt at incorporating reverb into one of my builds. anything I should be looking out for or paying special attention to?

If you're looking for surf twang, do the Fender standalone. The Ampeg is not so boingy, very 3d.

Anybody try adding a dwell control to the input of the typical 12AT7/transformer driven Fender on-board reverb?

I've done that but found that just using a 12AU7 was an easier way to make the reverb better behaved. If you want an extra knob, a reverb tone control is way nice.

Wiper of a 1MA pot off the input side of the level pot. One end of the 1MA gets a 10nF cap to ground, the other gets a 500pF cap to the reverb level wiper. Just a "tweed" tone control on the reverb signal. Adjust cap values to taste.

Just put a tweed Princeton style tone pot on the reverb - perfection.

My amps have a lot of different reverb circuits - some use 1 tube, some have a dwell knob, some have one pot, some have the tone control. The tone control is the most useful, and if you want to put the dwell control onto the front panel far away from the tube you are going to have to get the lead dress dialed in.

For a one tube reverb, I still use a 12AT7 or even better a 6201 if you can find one. The 12DW7 works but it's kind of an oddball tube - you can always find a 12AT7 if it craps out on you.

I see, like a 5F10 Harvard or 5F2A Princeton tone/volume arrangement, and similar to the tone control in the 6G15 Reverb.
