Garage Sale Day
I got these out of two old (unusable) record players this morning. Glad I decided to go with the wife instead of sleeping.
The 5OC5s are 7 watt pentodes and the 6X5 rectifier outputs ~300V at 50mA. I also got 4 radios octals in metal cans.
All for $10! Not a bad day. I'll be checking them out tonight.

I checked the Duncan tube program and it doesn't say they are interchangeable.

50V filament vs 6.3V otherwise much the same. Now where do you get a 50V filament transformer . . .gui_tarzan wrote:I checked the Duncan tube program and it doesn't say they are interchangeable.

Indeed. In fact neither of the units I got the tubes out of had a PT. They were wire straight from the wall. (YIPES!!)

Re: Garage Sale Day
Wish I could find yard sales like these. The ones I've been to have formaldehyde-soaked card board furniture and plastic things still outgassing stuff that makes me sneeze.
I did go to one estate sale that when I saw such a well organized shop in the basement, I almost shed a tear for the guy. I don't think I will ever reach that level of organization. I probably have two of every tool, and I can't find either of them.
The chic term today is 'Makers' for anyone that is into DIY. In my day they were called men.
Damn, I've turned into grumpy old man.

Absolutely!
When a dude is old, and not grumpy, it just ain't natural. I don't trust it!
I've earned my grumpiness, and no one is going to deprive me of it!
