Re: which knobs
chicken heads.
Re: which knobs
Don't like the big ones.
Chicken heads are the easiest to see and adjust quickly, and they look nice with the rest of your front panel.
But the smaller round ones do have an "old radio" vibe that goes nicely with your toggle switch plates. I'd use those if I was using a cab with vintage radio grille cloth.

I like the steel ones myself but it would be alot of work to make them fit id have to open the hole and drill and tap a setscrew, I guess you would have to see it first hand they look very retro, I'm gonna use them someday LOL

Re: which knobs
Chickenheads are always a good answer.
Dial Markers
Chicken Head
This reminded me,....has anyone seen any of the "wire" dial markers like the old Bogen PA amps had? Made it easy to get back to a particular setting.

Re: which knobs
I'm going to go against the grain here and advise you to go for the biggest knobs possible. The bigger the better.

Re: which knobs
Chicken heads but not black. Look in that Antique catalog. Lotta choices. I'd go light mint green or maybe gold or yellow, cream or white with that green panel.
down technical blind alleys . . .
Re: which knobs
Chicken heads (once called "pointer" knobs) are apparently the current fad.
I can't tell you how many pieces of equipment back in the day we pulled the pointers from and threw out.
Usually replaced with more modern looking fluted instrumentation knobs, now popularly known as "MXR style" knobs.
