Just got back. It was amazing. He played songs from almost every album. When he did Dream Home, the crowd went insane and stood for the rest of the show. The band was tight and having a good time. I have to find out who the sax player is, she was amazing.

He blew the top off the place when he did Love is the Drug. This was his second stop on the tour that kicked off in Vancouver.

The guy's still got it.

I took my wife, but my oldest daughter bought her own ticket. She waited outside after we left and got to meet him and get an autograph.

My seventeen year old daughter has intelligent musical tastes, ranging from rockabilly to present. She probably knows more about Eddie Cochran and Duane Eddy than I do.

I'm letting her go by herself to the Ink and Iron concert in Cali. She's a big Blasters fan. She'll also get to see Merle Haggard.

When she was an infant my wife and I took her to a Junior Brown outdoor show. My mother-in-law bitched us out because we might be ruining her ears.

I'm pretty sure she's wrong. No, I am positive.

I was hoping Phil was playing, but there were two other guitarists playing. But I was struck about how tasty Phil was at picking simple lines. One guitarist switched between a Les Paul and a Jaguar, the other played a strat.

Phil created so many incredible atmospheric lines. Seeing other guys perform his stuff makes you realize how underrated he is as a guitarist.

Stranded came out my senior year in high school, and I consider it a masterpiece. If you don't have it, you're missing something special.

Halfway through the show was a continuous standing ovation, from a normally reserved Seattle crowd.

It was better than I could have possible imagined.
