OK thanks. Martin, your layout is great not to mention all the info you included with it. It has helped me so much! I really appreciate it.

I am pretty sure I drained the filter caps.....what's the worst that could happen?

20uf and 22uf are generally thought to be equivalent. Make sure you get the correct (minimum) voltage rating.

I'm building a clone of the same amp, my understanding is:

Ground the green wire separately from everything else

Spend the money on good caps for the first two at least (before the choke)

Keep it simple to start with! The fewer parts/circuit sections you have, the easier it will be to get it right.

You can do the JTM-45 power string too 32 straight across, or 32+32, 16+16 in the 5F6A. It's an improvement IMO with no negatives. If you are more rock than blues I'd go JTM45. Up to you stock is fine too. You can also do 22 straight across, hard to ruin a 5F6A, very versatile - obviously, looking at the history.

Both will work just fine. The IC caps also work great. :-)
