Sylvania 6CA7 'fat bottles' in Express clone

Hi there,

Apologies if this has been asked before. Did a search and found a couple threads regarding 6CA7's but looking for more info if possible.

I have a matched quad of the old Sylvania 6CA7's that I have tucked away for future projects. They were originally in a Plexi clone that I sold a while back. Anyways I have kicked around the idea of building an Expres clone and thinking of using the 6CA7's. Anyone have any direct experience or maybe thoughts of using them instead of the standard EL34's? Really loved how they sounded in the Plexi!

I prefer to use the 6ca7s in my k60

Same here, again in a K60 clone. Sound best from the herd and I use EH reissues.

I dont have the real thing, but Im digging my JJ 6CA7's biased at 50%.
