For around $35 at a hamfest...
Picked all of this up in Georgetown at a ham radio swap meet. The guy selling this stuff said that these parts belonged to a guy who started building guitar amps later on in life and built a few amps for Eric Johnson and a few others (can't remember all of the names he rattled off). Either way, a bunch of tested good and NOS tubes including the best pair of 6550's I've found so far, one labeled Tung-Sol and the other identical one labeled Union Radio KT88! I did pay $20 for that pair separately
. The caps are my favorite part, some yellow Astrons and Blue Molded caps in useful values and supposedly everything here has been tested OK. The speakers I think I paid $5 for both, one is a 1958 Jensen P8T (annoyingly with a whizzer) and the other I haven't identified yet but it's a beefy framed 8" I think from the same era.

Lifted the other speaker from it's little pine cab, wasn't expecting what I saw! Speaker itself looks reconed nicely. Also the P8T with nice looking cone. Will probably cut that whizzer out.

There's a bunch more equipment I picked up to fix and resell too, I'll try to get some pics up tonight. Considering I found diddly squat in Fort Worth, I'm trying to not be too attached to any of the stuff I picked up.

Damn! I learn something new every day. I've never heard it referred to as such. Sword fight, sausage fest etc... but never a honey baked hamCliff Schecht wrote:Hamfests are sausage fests!TNblueshawk wrote:It's better than a sausage fest.amplifiednation wrote:A hamfest is a good place to meet chicks I bet.
