I purchased the chassis from the guy in canada. Nice chassis, very well made. Here is mine mocked up in a head cab i made for it. All I'm missing is my 15K audio taper mid pot and knob and im ready to wire it up!

The Princeton head is looking good.

I've build a lot of amps using Seaside chassis good quality. He only plans to build for maybe 2 more years then we loose him too.

Progress shots. PT is Weber W025130; exhibits quite a bit of mechanical vibration when energized. Hope this doesn't mean hum in the output. It's such a full-featured PT, though: 270-0-270 and 340-0-340 HT taps, 45v bias tap. I'm using the lower voltage with SS rectification. It's a bit too large for the holes in this Mojo chassis, but I just removed the end bell and drilled new mounting holes, and it fit snugly into the cutout.

Custom features in this build include 1R test points on power tubes, cathode bypass switch, SS/tube rectifier switch, only one input, only one output.

Just finished eyelet/turret board and rectifier board.

PDF (Adobe Illustrator) attached if anyone wants the layout and template (based on Hoffman's layout, but tweaked to accommodate orange drops).

Lookin Good Xtian! Your board looks really good.

It pretty much prompted me to make a new one based off your template. I wasn't digging the super early hoffman layout anyhow.

Cool! But proof carefully.

I'm having a great holiday; should have board populated soon!

Lookin good!

With the gun oil (Tru Oil) I like to buff it with 0000 steel wool between every few coats.
(Watch out around magnets)

After the last coat I buff it then burnish it with old denim for a pretty good low gloss look.

Don't let that smoke out!

Thanks, Tom!

Finished and fired up, and sounding good! 391 on the plates. Need to dial in the bias range resistor, and the Trem is not working at all.

Can't get tremolo to work. Tried two different tubes. Voltages are 354 on plate, 11.4 on cathode. How to troubleshoot?

I used two old 1KV ceramic caps in the trem circuit, those brown discs. Could those be bad?

Measure for DC leakage across those old brown caps. Looks very nice!

Does the trem need a pedal plugged in to the jack to work?

I don't know! Tried both ways. I thought the shunt to ground was to stop the oscillator. No?
