attached are a few additional pictures. I'm having some "file compatability" issues which is inhibiting uploads. Hopefully, more to come

Just bypass the switch for now..Disconnect (or jumper) the grey wire from the center lug of the switch and tack solder it to the green wire (8ohm tap) then check continuity from the green wire to the tip of your speaker jack (plugged in) ground sleeve should go to ground of chassis.Set it for 8 ohms. your bypassed.. BTW I see a bare stray wire there..What is that?

As the OT is certainly one item in the suspect chain, I started trying to test the resistance reading of the OT. Drained caps, removed power tubes. Tested the primary leads running to power tube sockets, but the numbers on my DMM were dancing all over the place. Tried to test the secondary leads and met w/similar results. Do I need to desolder the connections to test this?

You guys ROCK! Tony, thank you. Jumpered across the impedance switch and VOILA! Sound! On with the testing!

new issues now that I have sound.
1. My master volume does absolutely nothing. Wiring is as per layout. When set at zero, the signal does ground out as would be expected w/a pot.
2. There is a very significant amount of noise. Kind of a mix b/t hum & buzzing, and when levels are all the way up almost sounds like a wind type of sound which is mostly associated w/the OD controls. Plugging/unplugging the guitar does not impact its volume, nor does the guitar's volume level. It does get louder with dialing up the amp volume. Significantly increases in volume when the OD "Drive" level is pumped up fully, there is a terrible squeal if you pump the "level" up near max.

Master isn't wired right or pot is dead.
Shhhhhh and squeeling with drive controls and OD settings near full up?
No. Really? This is a high gain guitar amp you are talking about? That's very ODd.

After messing around w/this for a while, I've discovered that the master volume works on the clean channel, but does nothing on the OD channel. Isn't this a control which should either work or not work? I double checked the connections for it again, and cannot find anything wrong in terms of how it is wired. Bizzare

Not being a smart ass here, but did you read the manual for this model? BM's are normally wired with separate MV's, unlike the straight ODS with the single global MV.mwdavis14 wrote:After messing around w/this for a while, I've discovered that the master volume works on the clean channel, but does nothing on the OD channel. I've been so caught up in debugging mode that I never considered that. I suppose the od level operates as MV for that channel? 'll check the manual. Thx
