Olympic curling
So the misses and I have really been getting into curling.
I know some of you live Way up there.so maybe you know a little about it.
There's one thing I don't understand .why are all the other countries girls way hotter than the Americans girls?

Re: Olympic curling
Well I dunno, but did get to catch a couple minutes of USA vs Canada women's hockey. Didn't realize it was women's hockey and I was wondering how hockey players could be on the ice with pony tails hanging out, some of 'em. THAT would be a major detriment in men's pro hockey, enough of a punchup without giving the other side a hunk of hair to yank on. (Hey I went to a riot and a hockey game broke out...) Well I gotta say, neither team is second-rate. Very good game. Couldn't stay to the end, gotta contend with the traffic - panic buying by the suburbanites with a major snow due tomorrow.
Good on you cbass for getting into curling. A rare sport indeed outside Olympics.
I'm into hurling too . . . OK wise guys it's not a barf fest . . . sorta Celtic lacrosse/rugby also rarely seen in the USA.
Hockey fans - need a good tune? Find "Hit Me" by Warren Zevon & Mitch Albom. Paul Shaffer's on the session and Dave Letterman yelling "Hit me" in the choruses. You'll like it! Color missing front teeth into smiley

Hmm... what would be worse than falling through the ice on a pond... Oh I know, falling through the ice on a pond while holding a big chunk of granite!cbass wrote:I'm Wondering if the pond over here is froze enuff to so some curling on . I wonder if I cut a flat spot on a bowling ball ?

Being from Minnesota, I already knew that there are babes that curl. The St. Paul Curling Club was next door to one of my favorite bars.
Oh yeah, I like this photo of Carmen too!!! Hmmmm, tongue stud. What ever is that for?

The wife and I are fans (strictly during olympic time only). Thank heavens for DVR! Couple years ago, Shuster blew a couple easy shots, which led to us frequently saying to each other, "Boy, you really Shustered that one." Had a pretty awesome game against Denmark, though! Watched that one last night.

Good one! Yeh, that and all those gnarly Swiss words & location names that start with G followed by a consonant. Gstaad, gneiss, Gnardo... like that. Austria has a bunch of those too.NickC wrote:Oral umlaut enhancer?Leo_Gnardo wrote:Helps in the pronunskyation of Schwyzerdeutsch.dartanion wrote:Hmmmm, tongue stud. What ever is that for?
I sure could do with a nice hot rösti right now. Savory crispy shredded potato pie, a Swiss specialty.
