But it doesn't work because you've set the KT88's bias so they won't redplate. :(

You're examining a chrome-plated tissue holder at Ikea, and you wife walks up and says "You're wondering if you could build an amp in that. Aren't you."

And she's right.

Your wife can accurately identify the cathode in a schematic.

I remember John McIntyre telling me back in the 90's that when he would make a new layout (Bluesmaker, Prince o' Wails etc) that he would have his wife proof the layout by building it!

You know you're an amp builder when you get a package from Doug's Tubes, you open the package and carefully open one of the boxes. You gently pull the 6V6 out of the box and a tear comes to your eye. "Oh, such a cute little tube!"

Yes amen.

Doug is among the few that burns in the tubes before he matches them.
Have never been disappointed with the tubes I got from him.

Bahah!! You start a thread for help troubleshooting an amp but fix it before get a response because you just needed to "talk it out"

You know your an amp builder when you would rather tin stranded wire than use solid core
