Thank guys. The heaters were a long shot, but the amp is quiet as a mouse and looks just as good. Feel free to steal the idea :D

Im almost finished the head cab and it looks as beautiful as it sounds.
I went with 2 inputs rather than four but instead of having two differently voiced channels, I decided to cascade the first triode into the standard Magnatone channel. It sound amazing cranked... its like ACDC in a box but still retains the original circuit when using input 2.
Its going to be hard giving this one up.
All done with the cascaded channel....

Excellent! The angry vid sounds like a damned good AC30ish thing.

I actually came up with this idea after countless hours watching Phil X punish his Tonemaster with a Digitech Bad Monkey. I figured with an extra triode just sitting there idle it may as well be put to good use.
Its hard to capture with a phone cam, but the tone is better than any OD pedal pushing an amp. Only problem is its LOUD.
The Hot channel gets its own gain level to set the amount of drive into the original channel. Both gain pots have their own bright switch.

Heres one with the original channel. Excuse the low level and crackle from the microphone on the phone. Vibrato is beautiful in person. That Don who posts as Asatplayer here. Tasty player.

Yes it's the best ever. Anytime I am doing a record I use it somewhere.

On www.thetrainwrecksband.com upper left there is a player. Second record has a song called No Bills to Pay with stereo Mag 280 that sounds like swimming underwater in Hawaii. I so love that sound.

My Christmas wish is that you next build a Magnatone Custom 280 in the same exemplary way and document it all in a detailed post with plenty of picts and measurements - that I then can rip it off w/o having to do any of the hard work :D

BTW I bet your 214 smokes the reissue in sound and build. What speaker did you use?

I'd love to see final pics of this 214 to see how you fit everything else in there ;)

Very nice on gain how is it for clean with headroom?

Is this based off the Ammo can 214?

Looks and sounds great!

I would love to hear a high quality clip from it.

What kind of range does the vibrato have?

IOW, can it go really slow and really fast?

Based on the Titano schematic. Original and mine. Other than the cascade, the pink dots are the major circuit changes. Also note the conjunctive filtering.

This schematic will be worth saving. I didn't think it was a 6V6 amp, I agree with realtarded that is has a real AC30 vibe going on that angry clip. Cool that you got it w/ 6v6s. Where are the varistors in the picts I couldn't spot them?

If you click on the pics it should open photobucket. Bottom rhs of each pick is the + magnifying glass. Click it to open the image and click it again to open the full size image.
Youll see the varistors easily then.
