I dunno.
Can you separate the volatiles into a liquid form and retain the desired constituents?
I wouldn't do it with aromatherapy essential oils.
I have concerns of inhaling any thing that would deposit on my lung tissue and have chemical/biological interactions that might lead to an early death.

Stay away from those things, the carrier is glycerin and it coats your lungs. There has been no oversight on this stuff yet. Geezer heart trouble smoker friend here asked his doc about using them and doc said big no. She gave him a article of some euro study pointing out the unknowns of the glycerine coating your lungs.
That said, where do you find the hash-oil refills

Re: I cant believe this,GM is now China
Oh yeah, I think the refills are all from China, the guys that bring us lead paint baby toys and plastic milk powder. What do you think the chances of a hot-shot of nicotine is? An OD might not kill a healthy man but my geezer friend with the bad heart...
Re: I cant believe this,GM is now China
Thanks. That's what I suspected. Things that are neither absorbed nor reacted can just build up on tissue. In the lungs, having a barrier on the surface of the alveoli means that the exchange of gas across that membrane is impeded. Translation: A coating of glycerin could stop oxygen from getting to your blood.rp wrote:Geezer heart trouble smoker friend here asked his doc about using them and doc said big no. Could you please share the title and authors of that study? I'd like to read it.
Re: I cant believe this,GM is now China
I'll ask my friend if he still has it. I think it was translated to italian so the orig might have been english. Let you know.

No way! Jenny McCarthy said it's ok. She'd have us all with small pox, but hey.
Blue E-Cig is revolutionary; take back your freedom. The government should be very afraid.

Reminds me of all those lighting directors who gave me the same old yarn about stage "smoke" - Oh it's "water based" - that makes it OK. Well what's the part that's NOT water? Just some mysterious crap called - get this - "crack oil." Also propylene glycol (the "safe" antifreeze) and glycerine. No wonder I coughed up wads of grey gunk for weeks after every tour. Not good for lungs of band, crew, audience or anyone.rp wrote:She gave him a article of some euro study pointing out the unknowns of the glycerine coating your lungs.

To expand on rp - China who also shipped ethylene glycol (the deadly antifreeze) labeled as glycerin starting in 2006. This started showing up in cough medicine, in Panama and Costa Rica early 2007 and by May was in some brands of USA toothpaste and other products. (And of course the USA manufacturers never tested the stuff ?!? Just assumed what the 55-gallon drums are labeled is what it really is ??!!?? Might our Chinese "friends" load those e-cig cartridges with ethylene glycol? We'll find out after a couple million e-cig smokers croak it and then the "surprise" of our import regulators when they do. Chalk it up to Darwinism at work.
Hash oil refills, well I'll leave it to those who want to seek that out. If you're clever enough and very careful besides you can make your own I'm sure. The AA correspondent said hash though, not oil. Wonder how he got that to work?

What I read in Italian must have been a synthesis of that. BTW this was my friend's cardiologist, who's been trying to get him to quit for a long time. She really must have thought e-cigarettes are a risk and have no value. From personal experience they have zero value, I've witnessed the fad spread twice now, NYC first and then here and seen zero people quit, not a one. Few weeks and they are back to normal cigs. Get yourselves a patch, hypnosis, mood stabilizers, or all three. Or do what I did 20 years ago, just quit.

Not to mention poison pet food.
I swear my dog's kidney failure and death was a result of some of that shit.

The difference between China and Japan is that China has its own natural resources.

Thank you.
"However, exposure of vapers to propylene glycol and glycerin reaches the levels at which, if one were considering the exposure in connection with a workplace setting, it would be prudent to scrutinize the health of exposed individuals and examine how exposures could be reduced.
This is the basis for the recommendation to monitor levels and effects of prolonged exposure to propylene glycol and glycerin that comprise the bulk of emissions from electronic cigarettes other than nicotine and water vapor."
"From this perspective, and taking the analogy of work on theatrical fogs[45,46],it can be speculated that respiratory functions and symptoms (but not cancer of respiratory tractor non-malignant respiratory disease) of the vaper is of primary interest."
