I see Air Bloom old Bill got his 2 cents worth of mouthing off on the video.

He is everywhere you go, some day he'll be in the nursing home shouting I got tone man I've got an original Trainwreck and original Dumble and I know how to play unlike all your other mothers F'ers out there!

I wouldn't write home about this amp, I like Mark Kane's Rocket better.

This one is a Ceriatone Rock-it. It's the usual porno sound track.

Thank you,
they are all very nice ones. But what I wonder is from where this soft overdrive comes with les than noon at volume pot. Mine started to crunch with 7-8 on vol. Perhaps I turned the bass response to much down whit coupling caps down to 0,010µF and 0,022µF and the bypass caps too to 10µF and 0,68µF.
The Rocket needs the bass to respons in this beautiful OD way. I think.

Whats your opinion - is the first vid strong modified circuit?

The first video, original JM reissue is stock rocket circuit. Mine reacts the same way.
No mods to that great amp!!

So you have to turn you amp up past noon?

As far as I know that sounds about right, of course it depends on the guitar and the pickups.

Hi all,

I got it now. I put in 2 old Telefunken, bootstrapped the CF ala Valve Wizzard with 0,047µF and 47k cathode for more gain when no bypass cap at 2nd stage, used the tip to change the mid and treble C and - turned the first bypass cap (22µF) into right direction  (don´t know how this could happen, my dear) and now the Amp is breathing - very nice harmonics and crunch starts at 4 on vol., at 7 its almost "high gain" when the switchable 2nd bypass cab (10µF) is in and the 4th stage (rj boost) is in.
I think I can´t do it much better. Sounds fantastic.
Thank you all for your help.

Can you record it? I would love to hear that.
Signatures have a 255 character limit that I could abuse, but I am not Cecil B. DeMille.

Hi,
sorry, but for the moment I have no record-ability. Will take few weeks (holidays maybe).
But now - my daughter has to burn it in again (changed coupling caps).

I´m glad to have reached the finish (hope so) but now I have to finalise my JMP 100 (2203 specs) which is close to first powering up 8) .
