Check that your profile location is not set to Australia :)

Sometimes with phone pictures I've had to flip them before I post depending on how I heldthe phone.

Holy shhhh!!!! It's one of those things I'd buy just to build an amp to stick in it. Wow, seriously? I need that.

However, when I click on it to view it larger, it is right side up. Never had or seen that problem yet, wish I could help.

The picture is perfect when you click on it.

You are taking left handed phone pictures. Flip your phone the other way. The thumbnails will look right too.

Can't help with the pix, but I'd like to know how you make such a tidy 45 degree miter joint. I'm not asking how to saw the thing, but how to make it stay together and how you insure the cab is square.

Mike bends time and holds it with clothes pins and duct tape until the space around the cab is the sqrt of awesome.

Festool

Post by ampmike »

Yes Miles ,You cracked my secret.Quantum Physics and woodworking.Dang!
No I use a tool called the domino system. It cuts tendons into the miter. The tendons come in many sizes and are made of beech. This adds a great deal of strength.Biscuits are good for lining the miter up but the tool guys said they dont have the stregnth that tendons have.Im building a quilted cherry one and a mahogany one today. If you like I can post some upside down pictures for you to see.The Domino is made by Festool and cost about 1200.00 bucks but for making tables and other wood projects it 2nd to none.
No screws, nails brackets or putty. All you work is hidden and clean.I love the thing. :D MikeyYou are here: Home > Domino Joiners

Cab squaring

Post by ampmike »

Oh,as far as squaring the cab .Your valance is cut perfectly square in the miter saw so when you fit that in with again those tendons the cab is glued to the square valance which makes the cab itself perfectly square as well.Hope that helps Phil. When I builds 2x12 cabs I measure corner to corner and get the same measurement. When I put the speaker baffle in its cut perfectly square on the table saw so that insures a square cab.Mikey
