New Old Guy

Post by rhardman »

Hi--

first post here…some of you guys may know me from the ReRanch.

I am an old (62) sax player who spends most of his time on guitar now.
I got a ham radio license 52 years ago. I record and mix in my home studio…and love to tinker with speaker designs.

Just kidding. I don't know but a few letters of Morse, but I can use Google. The message is sincere, though.

Welcome! Also a ham here - WA7VHW.

Surprised more of us old hams haven't gravitated to amp building.

BTW, it's surprisingly hard to play morse code on the guitar....
Don't you boys know any NICE songs?

Welcome. Passed the novice test back in the 70's, WD9GOM. Have not done anything since then... Guitars and amps, women and guns, seemed to be a big distraction to me from the HAM world... HA! Shoulda stayed in radio, would have been cheaper.

de KS4VS.

Mine is current, but I've been inactive so long that I've forgotten my code.

Amps have been a fun return to tubes, in the recent few years.

It would be fun to get some of us TAG hams together on the air. I have a modest station up & running on 15, 20, and 40 meters. But I don't get on the air much any more either unless I have a reason to. Maybe this would be a good reason.
