It's running GT KT66's
Also got a Rocket Reverb with JJ KT66's - same OT.
If you do this watch out for cab height - KTs are tall & the pan hangs from the ceiling.
Really Fat tone on both of them.
Switch out the verb & they sound the same.
To my ears anyway.
I'm interested to try KT66s in this amp, which is a JTM50 now...but my OT is 4K, and B+ ~410 with EL34. Would this setup work or would I need to mismatch the impedance?

The KT66 data sheets I have say the typical load is 4K in class AB1 mode with a cathode bias or 5K with fixed. Also, Va ranges are 450 to 500 depending on the brand.

I have tested it, and this works well. More aggressive than a JTM45, fun tones!

Thanks guys. Well this Express has become a JTMsomething. Running EL34s w/ 4K , MC 40-18001. I really like this OT. I'm still looking around for KT66.
2n2 for first coupler, 1.5K/10uf cathode, 270k divider w/ no peaker and standard Express bright caps switch, 56K/250p tone stack, 22n output caps. I nixed the last filtering node and ran V1 off CF node. 9.1K/9.1K droppers.
It's really warm and full and gets nice and mean cranked, but not crazy crunchy. Now I have to build another Express, and try and get it right this time :D
