I'm impressed.

Don't let Congress see it though. They (and the insurance companies) will mandate we all have to pay big money to buy them, and wear them whilst showering.

I imagine so. The thing that irritates me is the old "Why didn't I think of that" bit.

I actually invented water jet cutting. When I was 11 years old. I haven't had a good idea since. Most of my deeper thinking has to do with sex and rock & roll.

Go figure

That thing is triggered by expletives.

I thought I invented water jet when I was like 2. It was snowing. My process also works on dry masonry... well at least you can write on it.

There's an overdesigned solution if I ever saw one. I'm predicting sales that asymptically rise from zero.

Works great if you live some where it's cold enough to not sweat lie a pig with that thing around your neck and only have one impact.

It depends how stupid you look in a bike helmet. My friends call me Dewey Gland when I wear one. I'm not sure why.

My wife was in a bike wreck at the end of September, and she _was_ wearing a helmet and her head never touched the ground. She still wound up with a detached retina (lasers, gas bubble and silicone belt around eyeball).

One of these suckers would have saved her all that pain and us the $11k uninsured surgery bill - that's after a ton of discounts and breaks for being self-pay.

That sucks Don. How is her vision in the effected eye? And I guess the other question is how did the retina become detached? Some sort of whiplash or acceleration thingy?

A head airbag?

Shoot, I just wear a plastic bag over my head.
Sometimes when things start to go dark I pull it up for a quick couple gulps of air, then back down to protection mode.

The bad thing about sudden impacts are, when your cranium suddenly stops, that grey matter is still moving inside your skull.
When it compresses in the skull, brain injuries occur.
Tom

Don't let that smoke out!
