Who's Albert? I know you, Miles. You must have some theory.

I think Albert is Santa Claus. Never seen them together.

Hurry up one o'clawk. I am going to do a speed neck reset on my tricone today too. Two hours if I don't stand around yacking about guitars.

I will be dangerously close to a banjo. The banjo of consequences.

Scary.

I didn't buy it. The mahogany areas are too messy to chance. If it were a matter of a couple grand in the other way for sure I would have done it to make this other guitar I wanted happen, but..

NOPE

The first three pics are the red, ten picks at the edge with my fingernail, and the third ten more. The top is really not awful.

There is umm I estimate 150 hours of treatments to just about double the value. Interested? I can probably make it happen for someone with the will for a great deal. They are asking 8500 i was thinking like 7500 and do the work. Not a really bad deal. Even if the mahogany parts were refinished except for the serial i would say it's a real 12,500 kind of thing. If you got the brown parts cleaned i know guys in nashville that would be in around 16-18k even. It is a lot of work this time.

I'd like to take this moment to berate neil young for being so caustically marginal. Thanks for messing up a tender moment.

If I didn't have this one I would think about it. I like challenges. :D
Love p90 Les Pauls. I kind of like the top the color it is, weird maybe but I like it. :) Wife would not be happy with me now if I did, but it is tempting.

If I didn't think there'd be collateral damage, I'd leave it in a warm place for a couple of months. The red will be ready to flake off. Too chancy to do that. That paint job is beaut!

You know what you're doing Miles. That's going to come out real nice.

Looks way better than I had imagined. Good luck on the project. Love the sound of those guitars. Does it play & sound good? - looks don't matter near as much......

Light, fairly resonant. I am sure 3 decades in the attic served that part well. :)
