It might be safer to wire for 2ohms with a 4ohm OPT. Harder on the tubes but safer on the OPT. As a reference, that is the factory "mode" the design was intended for while an "ext" speaker cab is plugged in. (Impedance cut in half.) Same for BF/SF.

The screen resistors look a little small for "modern" builds but 6v6's should be fine with 1wt or higher.

Looks great.
If it says "Vintage" on it, -it isn't.

Thanks for the comments on the screens. I used some 1W MF from my parts bin. What do you suggest? 2 or 5W?

Looks like I was getting confused by my bassman style build I had recently completed. This 5e3 output transformer is indeed 8 ohm rated.

Interesting that you don't have enough bass with the 4x10s. Many find that the circuit itself gets overwhelmed in the low end and change the PI couplers to 0.02uF. There are definitely those that prefer AX7s over AY7s in V1. I find the amp isn't as controllable, in a clean to mean way, with the AX7.

Enjoy your amp...that's a pretty build.

Does anyone know where to have a logo plate made. I'd like one to read "5E3" in a Fender tweed style plate.
