VOX NT15H : Advice on Adding Effects Pedal input

Post by BCHICK1 »

Hi all,
I am an 'Oldbie' Electronics Tech who purchased a VOX NT15H. It has no effects loop but I want to add a Fender Mustang II Pedal using only the preamp of the pedal.
I was thinking of interrupting the grid input of V4B (the last preamp stage) with a STDP 1/4 jack and feeding the grid through a .1uF cap (identical to the original C10).
I would be wondering about the output of V4A just 'hanging out' past C10 without termination and other things i.e. pedal input variable attenuation which may be necessary.
This seems overly simplistic to me but I am no engineer.
I can get the materials and can do the work and I am excellent at physically working on the gear and soldering, etc.. What I need is a bit of advice, (including "you don't need to do that to get the pedal to work with the NT15H" all the way to "you are nutz").
Any advice?

Hey, welcome to the garage. I've used a simple loop like Dumble used in the ODS with no problems. One 1/4" switching jack and one mono. I would insert just where you said, except feed the output to the cap that's already there, before the PI entrance. I've attached a schematic that I used for my Bassman 10 conversion. This should work with most buffered pedals.
