There's a deluxe reverb silver face reissue now as well. I think they will limit it to just those three. Too bad, because the silver face vibrosonic was kind of a bad ass

Whenever I go into a big store and see these shinny new Fender & Gibson reissue amp and guitars there's always something oddly off. They look almost right... like something from a Star Trek planet that some previous rouge expedition, defying the Prime Directive, left a bunch of Fender and Gibson gear on and contaminated the locals. They then started monkey copying the stuff. "You know Spock, I can't put my finger on it, it looks just like an earth SF Fender Twin, but..."

I wonder after they run out of good sounding stuff to clone will they be forced to start cloning their bad sounding stuff to keep feeding the tedious retro market? Roll out the 135W ultra-linear MV Twins.

If Fender wanted to be truly retro they should offer a few killer instruments and amps of unmistakable quality at honest prices. Goes for Gibson and Martin too. Might actually make a profit.

Pray not, terrifying and a threat to the universe's stability.

Every time there's a retro discussion here I post this, sorry if it's trite but it might be new to some. More or less the final word on all things retro:

Funny. ^

Experts warn we're entering a "retro-present warp,"

..."square" adulthood—a form of self-referential meta-retro that science still does not fully understand."

As long as they don't reissue the Zodiac amps, I'll let them wander around in marketing land.

Seriously no value in a reissue amp when the prices are nearly on parity with the original amps. The silverface amps are even more expensive than nice nice examples of originals. Nice, Fender. Way to Gibson it up.
Signatures have a 255 character limit that I could abuse, but I am not Cecil B. DeMille.

See, Larry doesn't really know what he's doing. Me, I'd get the artists in my stable to start playing the hell out of silverface amps. Then TGP would get all "Wow, that sounded awesome." And THEN you reissue the puppies.

Said it before: I'll take half Larry's compensation to do it better.

Reminds me when Lehman, Merrill Lynch, AIG, etc bankrupted. CEOs where earning like $50 million a year. Shit, I would have bankrupted them for $70K a year.

I purchased a very nice condition '68 Twin, 99% original still had two prong cord for $750. Would not give up the goods until cap job, sounds amazing. Silver face reissues OMG!
