Post by deltacomet »

Searching for tube tester kit mostly for 12ax7 and power tube ( 6l6, 6v6, el34 , el84 )

I found some like the imp tube tester and uTracer but is it good and easy to build ?

Which do you use ?

I have a uTracer up and working. See here: https://tubeamparchive.com/viewtopic.ph ... ht=utracer
The software is still evolving, but I see a lot of potential for a reasonable cost. I'll continue to update that thread as I get more experience with it. The kit is not complete in the sense that you have to get your own enclosure, sockets, connection hardware, and power supply, as well as design a layout for the enclosure.

Also I have one, works great! the only problem is with USB connection! maybe my usb converter is not good!

Now I'm using an old PC with RS232 port!

Anyone checked out the diy Tube Testers in 'Tubes and Circuits'? You can Look Inside and preview the info here, scroll down to page 245.
