I traded a road worn generic 4x12 cab that was given to me free for my shredder guitar; a BC rich Jr. V neck through transparent quilted maple top with floyd Rose and loaded with Dimarzio PUs.
I was going to set it up and sell it but it's too much fun and actually sounds and plays really nice, plus it's my only humbucker guitar so it's hung around.
Traded 1 week before I moved, so not only did I get a new guitar, I didn't have to move the particle board 4x12.
I put a bag over the headstock and close my eyes while I play it and imagine it's a vintage gibson. Just kidding, if I ever get forced at gunpoint to go to a blues jam this will be the guitar I bring.
I scored a bunch of vacume tubs when you used to be able to get deals on ebay and just search for mispelled listings.Got about 50 ax7's and some 6v6's and other tubes for bout 30 bucks had a couple mullards in it even

What is it? Looks like a Stratobucker, but you didn't show the headstock. If it it's 3 on a side, it's something else, maybe a Rickencaster.
On that Washburn you don't like, there is no accounting for preference. On some guitars, the neck is just all wrong and no amount of setup work will change that short of a new neck. Other times, a good setup will overcome all sorts of objections. Setup might include a neck angle adjustment. If it's tone, not feel, then sell it!
Its a univox hiFlyer. Its a Mosrite copyI actually like it quite a bit it's very light.and sounds great. The neck is a bit thin but it plays very well. Its got a low nutslot and the d string buzzes and I'm to lazy to make a new nut.I thought about tryin the baking soda trick on it but I'm to lazy to do that too.
I'd sell the washburn forsure but I have no idea what its worth.I've done everything I can to set it up but i still don't like it.If I couldn't get more than 3 or four hundred bucks I'll just keep it.I may steal some parts from it or make a new neck for it.
If you parted it out on eBait, maybe you'd get $100 for the pickups and $20 for the Wilkinson. Maybe you'd see $50 for the neck and about the same for the body. I think even less as a whole guitar because those pups just don't look right in that body. I don't think it pays to sell it. Save it for a project, when you have some spare time, LOL!
I've often thought about adding some pickup rings.I don't think the pickups look right either.I wonder if rings affect tone?Oh and the string spacing on the singlecoils is way off.
I'm thinking about putting the neck and mid pickup in an 80's cort strat copy that I like better than the american made washburn. They just don't sound that straty in the mahogany body with no pickgaurd
Replaced the decoupling capacitors and the radio works great. Didn't know that so many AM stations still existed.
Fabricated a pre-amp using an old junction box scrounged from the scrap metal dumpster at work. Two 12U7 tubes, everything powered by a 12vDC wall bug. Output connects to the Phono Input of the radio. Now I'm able to play my MP3 player through this great old radio.
I thought 'Univox' once I saw those pickups w/ the clear plastic on the Mosrite clone. We once had a pretty good LP 'burst like that.

$500 Sunburst, with no modifications. And yes that is what the tag said.
Too funny!
I remember a few out of all the great want-ad misspellings over the years.
One Pennysaver ad was for a Missa Boggie with rebarb.
Another was for an 'Air Clappin' Signature Strat. I imagine those ads might've been dictated over the phone.
I bought old vox keyboard for 20$, I did'nt know what id do with it but could not pass on it, I seen a guy on ebay that made new lids and cases for vox keyboards, I emailed him and gave him the serial# and he offered me 300$ as long as the pix checked out which they did, Plus he covered all shipping i just dropped it off at the ups store, now in the right hands it's surely worth 1000s i'd guess, it was ruff but just a tune up away from being a real find for somebody, my only regret was not keeping the handle which was perfect, it was about a 1/2 inch thick leather with criss crossed xxx's and the vox logo, I wished i'd kept it
But this supro with 6973 was my alltime score, this amp looked like it came out of a box, you might be able check it out at the LA guitar store i can't imagine what there trying to sell it for

Long time ago, buddy had some some stuff a guy gave him to settle a debt, guitar speakers 2 x 12 factory cab, 2 x 12 rickety pine box and a beat up looking bass head. Traded him some 5 x 7 car speakers in cabinets for his home stereo.
Factory cab had crappy speakers, rickety box had some early Celestion 12's, the bass head was a 68 Bassman. Blew the Celestions, still have the Bassman.
Pawn shops think their stuff is gold, either that or I am real cheap. More into thrift stores picking up old tube consoles and stereos ranging from $25-40. Got a few projects to keep me busy.
