Hello. I have a JCM 800 that is half built and wanted to add a tube driven effets loop. I have the lee Jackson mod but I have heard it stinks so not sure if I should make that mod. I heard of a Larry mod but could not find the instruction or schematic. Any ideas? Also I heard that you can use the same on a bassman. I will be also adding a Lar/ Mar PPiMV.
Thanks

I have on board tube FX on all three of my amps and like how that sounds with delay pedals. It also makes a very nice master volume for my purposes.
You can see how I implemented it on my most recent build here:

Re: Jcm 800 effects loop mod
Lee Jackson has an effects loop mod for a jcm 800. He has a video out where he goes through several of his mods, including an effects loop mod. I just have heard it is not that great

Since you are in Orange County call Kevin Nelson. He has a design
that works really well. He put his loop in my JCM800 and it works great and does not mess with the amp at all. He does not add holes to the amp either. He can make it instrument or line level. His company is Gizmo amps and he is in Garden Grove. I have had him work on all my amps since the mid 80's.
