Coincidentally I just finished Tommy James biography.

Very interesting tale about how organized crime pretty much ran the recording business, at least on the east coast.

His first hit, "Hanky Panky" was a fluke as it was discovered quite a while after young James and the Shondells recorded it as a demo.

"I Think We're Alone Now" was viewed poorly but the censors as they thought it meant, now that we're alone we can have sex......

Very talented artist who is still performing.

He claimed his song, "Crystal Blue Persuasion" was about Jesus and the crystal palace.
