Hilarious Champ question

Post by Reeltarded »

Of the three components in a silverface champ which one is more likely to kill the fuse?

haha

Plugged in hums from speaker 18 seconds takes fuse no signal passed from input.

Asking is easier than testing for 30 seconds at a time on lowered voltage, so. :P the local repairman that I fix amps after got ahold of this one too. Charged three-fifty to make it eat fuses.

Hey Gordon Perry, you butcher.
Signatures have a 255 character limit that I could abuse, but I am not Cecil B. DeMille.

I've heard that 250v fuses make a silverface Champ sound much better. :P

I've heard that most amps need their recto's checked when they hit around 40 years of age.
If you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a horrible warning.

This is a new tube for no reason. The amp used to work and only needed a speaker and a fuse. A couple years later my friend had spent 350 with a worthless hack of a person who I constantly clean up after and I am not even a professional repair dood they just think so? I am jist a simple guy making Marshalls kick ass.

Instead of replacing the slidey power switch he drilled it for a paddle as big as the amp. Nice use of garbage for a premium there, hack.

He has the original tube in a drawer miles away from here. ;)

This tube cost him like over a hundred bucks and it's a NEW TUBE W/ BROKEN KEY.

I see you, Gordon Perry. Stop breaking good people's crap and charging for recaps you don't do properly and underbiasing because I imagine you just guess at it? You are a good player. Go play. (Leave your brother at home. He can't)
