Justin Carter, kid jailed for a sarcastic Facebook comment

Post by eddie25 »

Anyone been following this story? It's one of the more depressing things I've come across recently. I really am loosing hope for the future (ok, so I already have), when I realize us "poor" don't have the same rights as the wealthy.

I mean... It's actually INSANE. There is no other way to describe it. What the hell is goin on?

Poor and wealthy. Not so sure. We are all under a thumb, a very cruel thumb of ruling bureaucracies installed by nobody in particular.

It's out of everyone's control at this point.

I have faith that time will pass. Erosion will clean up this mess.

First I have heard of this.

TOTALLY RETARDED

I catch myself kneeling to the correctness and then I force myself to offend as many people as possible with a single swipe to get back to human immediately. Post haste. Pronto.

If I have to watch what I say I won't be talking much.

All hail the NSA!

(NZ is part of the 5-eyes spy network that is controlled by the NSA.)

Praise the NSA!

Long live the NSA!

Blessed be their name everywhere and for all eternity!

Please hear my prayer! ;-)

That's what makes it really suck. I wouldn't mind moving to a beautiful country like NZ to escape the constitutional digressions of the US, but the digressions are pretty global among English speaking nations.

All governments are out of control, except maybe Iceland's.
It's never too late to have a happy childhood.

The man named John Mortimer is my great grandfather 5 (?) times removed.

He was transferred to Van Diemen’s Land I see. That's a nice place to go visit. No doubt he got to witness or even talk to a few Tasmanian aborigines, and may've even seen a Tasmanian Tiger or two in his time.

It had a pretty impressive maw

[img:622:505]http://static.ddmcdn.com/gif/blogs/6a00 ... -800wi.jpg[/img]

And the boy was scarier looking than the girl

[img:610:417]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c ... _tiger.jpg[/img]

But the pups looked cute

But I guess, being a top predator, when its food chain was exhausted, it was only a matter of time.

That doesn't look like a proper hunting dog.

Before I go I must visit so I can see something for myself. More than half of it is that awesome sky you refuse to share. I want to see Eta Carinae and the Cross.

HOLY CRAP that thing looks like a barracuda with it's mouth open.

Dog thing and cat thing and maybe even bear things don't scare me.. at least as much as the thought of having a cassowary coming for me. That is the most malevolent looking thing I have ever seen in my life.

Did he have anything to do with this?

<<The second settlement in 1835, was the establishment of a penal colony for recalcitrant convicts, who were subject to inhumane and hash treatment and this lasted until 1855.>>

20 years of hash treatment, that oughta calm 'em down!

Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaad man indeed! Pass de dutchie!

Ah, HERE's Mortimer:

<<John Mortimer ... was tried ... on two counts, the first of theft of a wether sheep and second of sealing 40 pounds of mutton. He was sentenced seven years transportation on the second count.>>

I hope he learned to leave the wether sheep alone. Just being near one attracts all the wrong sort of attention.

The irony is the kid is jailed for saying something, but not being serious, whilst the movie Django Unchained has messages 100x times worse ...... and it gets an Oscar. Go figure.

We must find a common ground to kill each other on. Make it easy for everyone. I think a good social justice first move would be anarchy. Let me know.

While you are busy looking for constructive things to do, a loose cmmttee of inhumainity is looking for a way to stop happiness because they think it's better that way.

If you say you want my candy and I reply "I'd kill ya!" I'm a terrorist. Orwell wasn't wrong, his calendar was.

Like Mortimer, I was once sentenced to seven years transportation. I took a plane to LA just after 9/11.

What I love is that I had to read this book in high school for class. It feels like a big slap in the face now. Back then I kinda thought it was like a "this will never happen" thing, but I was wrong.

Pretty soon, when you talk trash about the wealthy on the Internet you will have the police knocking on your door. Mark my words.

The wealthy aren't a class; they are a scapegoat. We are all in fear of each other when we should be in fear of "the" other.
